Having a community filled to the brim with young families and the elderly is such a gift. One that should be cherished. 

Unfortunately, our community has become a throughoufare between Lerwick and the bottom of Ryan Road. As a result, it has also become a little short of a racetrack. Many feel the speeding is now a ticking time bomb and a tragedy in the making- a subdivision that has schools in the vicinity should be a safe space and im hoping we can create a change to this ever increasing problem. 

I have been in touch with city council and the gentleman was in full agreement that something needs to happen. Whether it is a speed sign, a change of speed limit, speed bumps, something needs to be done. That said, he is one person and cannot petition for a change if we dont have the numbers to back the claim of major safety concerns. He is willing to help but needs collective voices from the community in order to proceed!

Please sign this petition if you feel something needs to change in order to deter drivers from operating their vehicles at very unsafe speeds. This petition is for Malahat Drive/Sitka Avenue and Valley View Drive.
