Recent program closures and the impending closure of farm related experiential learning programs at The Children's Home farm are concerning. While we can not argue that current economic conditions force difficult decisions to be made, we are concerned about the future of TCH. We would like to engage in open dialogue with Mr. Ware, Mr. Teague, and the Board of Trustees. Through strong community support, active volunteers, and the implementation of revenue generating programs The Children's Home could continue to offer valuable farm related experiential learning programs to children who need them. It is our goal to raise awareness of the current issues facing The Children's Home, the successful farm related experiential programs and the Farm, and start a conversation about how the community can work with the Board of Trustees and TCH leadership to establish sustainable programming and a bright future for the children in our community.
