Payment of Lost Increments to the Bengal teachers.

Owing to the unavailability of sufficient B. Ed. Training colleges for in-service teachers in West Bengal, about thirty thousand in-service teachers could not complete their training within the stipulated time, i.e. (within five years from the date of their joining into the service). As a result, these teachers are victims to the act laid down in ROPA 2009, which stated that any teacher who would not be able to compete his/her B. Ed. degree within five years from the date of his/her joining, would not be entitled to get the Increments after five years of service.
These teachers are drawing less salary about Rs. 2000/3000 per month not owing to the faults of their own. Teachers in the same Pay Scale with B.Ed. degree are drawing more salary. Such discrimination among the teachers in the same Pay Scale is very inhumane. They are being deprived of their due salary.
