Unfortunately, School prayer  written by  Sri Ayya Shastri has been discontinued in recent times on some flimsy grounds.  ಅಯ್ಯಾ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯವರು ಬರೆದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಗೀತೆ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು ಶೋಚನೀಯ .

‘ಸ್ವಾಮಿದೇವನೆ ಲೋಕಪಾಲನೆ ತೇ ನಮೋಸ್ತು ನಮೋಸ್ತುತೇ
ಪ್ರೇಮದಿಂದಲಿ ನೋಡು ನಮ್ಮನು ತೇ ನಮೋಸ್ತು ನಮೋಸ್ತುತೇ|
ನೇಮಿಸೆಮ್ಮೊಳು ಧರ್ಮಕಾರ್ಯವ ತೇ ನಮೋಸ್ತು ನಮೋಸ್ತುತೇ
ಕ್ಷೇಮದಿಂದಲಿ ಪಾಲಿಸೆಮ್ಮನು ತೇ ನಮೋಸ್ತು ನಮೋಸ್ತುತೇ .........

This prayer was once upon time,  a matter of pride to sing every morning at school assembly. Even today, for many, it rekindles their school memories.  "Swamidevane Lokapalane  Prayer, I remember very Vividly, We used to sing this song before the commencement of our Primary school classes in Makonahalli, Tumkur district, almost 87 years ago.How pure, simple and delightful Nostalgia.
The whole scene appears now in front of my eyes like a Canvas of a "Cinemascope film " was the response from a senior citizen. ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಶಸ್ತ್ಯ ದೊರಕಲಿ ..  ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ಅರ್ಥ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹತ್ವ ಅರಿವು  ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಯುವಜನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಲಿ 

ಶಾಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಲು ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳಕಳಿಯಿಂದ ವಿನಂತಿಸುವೆ .
