Thomas Buonomo started this petition to The Chairman Lakeshore Golf & Country Club

Veteran ballstriker and perennial jacket contender, Gary Hagen Jr, has been banned from the annual Lakeshore Open golf tournament for Make-A-Wish, otherwise known as Home of Golf’s 5th Major. We need your help to reclaim a spot for Hagen in this year’s event. We are not asking for much. We need your signature so that we can bring his case to the committee to hold a meeting regarding the approval of his re-entry that will not only change the many lives of the participants and spectators, but it will help change the lives of the children in dire need of donations to fulfill their last Wish.

Hagen Jr. is in integral part of the annual event and has qualified numerous times to compete in the championship round, which he has had numerous finishes within fingertip reach of the highly sought after Blue Jacket. The crowd he pulls when odds are announced are unprecedented. It’s a great crowd.  He is loved and favored by players and spectators from around the globe and his participation is highly anticipated every year that he is a contender.

In recent years, Hagen Jr. has suffered some personal setbacks. He has had to attend weddings during the same weekend as The Lakeshore Open. Due to unforeseen circumstances and poor judgement of character, he has also decided to get married to his wife and go on their honeymoon during another annual Lakeshore Open a couple years ago. This means that his wedding anniversary will likely fall on Lakeshore weekend almost every year, depending on the date that The Chairman, Phil Tom (and Committee) decide that the event will commence.  Hagen Jr. has admittedly failed to have an attorney draw a legal marriage agreement that would include The Lakeshore Open to take precedence over his wedding anniversary, which would require his wife to allow celebrations to be altered and planned around The Lakeshore Open without repercussions and unjust retaliation towards himself or their marriage. Since no such agreement has been legally put into force, we have analyzed the situation this year and have come to the conclusion that the event is a week prior to his wedding anniversary and Hagen Jr should be allowed to attend. Since Hagen Jr did not attend last year’s Lakeshore Open/Tom wedding ceremony, he has been banned from further events. Sources have said that Phil Tom, The Chairman may have a legal marriage agreement that allows The Lakeshore Open to take precedence over his own wedding anniversary dates, although unconfirmed. Experts believe that for the well being of his marriage (not only between the ball and the club head, but also between he and his wife) The Lakeshore Open may actually be set on a weekend before or after the Tom wedding anniversary, which happens to allow Hagen Jr to attend the event every year moving forth.

With your help we can get Gary Hagen Jr, which is rumored to be an ancestor to the great Walter Hagen, a spot in the tournament this year and many years to come. Please take a moment and sign this petition to get Gary Hagen Jr back in the Lakeshore Open.
