All Canadian Politians Who Went On Vacay During COVID Lockdown Should Resign
Did you go to Hawaii over the holidays?
No?
Despite the deserved resignation of Rod Phillips, of Ontario, who spent his recent holidays in St Barts, as Canadians, we are still not okay with the increasingly revealed holidays of other Canadian politicians, across the country, given the insistence by the government that the public stay home in lockdown during this pandemic over the holidays. Why have these politicians foregone the COVID-19 rules? We’ve heard, for instance, that “it’s a family tradition” to go on vacation. Are our politicians above the rules that include the stern suggestion that family traditions were to be avoided this year?
With this petition, we ask that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and our provincial representatives consider forcing resignation of their vacation-going colleagues. One must resign if they’ve failed to follow the vacation rules imparted upon all Canadians during a pandemic. We will not accept representatives who tell us to act in one way and then themselves act in another.
