The Buffalo Bills and media outlets has supported the term Bills Mafia as a way to recognize the Buffalo Bills fan base and due to the racial unrest in our country it is not appropriate to identify us with an organized crime gang that is historically known for being extremely racist against African Americans.  To force your Black and Brown fans to have to accept being referred to members of the mafia, a racist and criminal organization is unacceptable. Buffalo Bills fans and players are a family and we should refer to ourselves as a family.  We the Buffalo Bills African American fans association are asking the Buffalo Bills organization and sport media outlets to change from referring to the Fanbase as Bills Mafia to Bills Familia in honor of Poncho Billa and still maintain a connection to Italian culture.  Our children our watching us and every time a parent refers to Bills Mafia, they are glorifying the murderous, criminal and racist organization and in today’s time of solidarity, that is unacceptable. We all love the Buffalo Bills like family, it’s time for us to call us what we really are, a Familia.
