Jordyn Jones started this petition to The British Council and

Hi my name is Jordyn jones and I am the owner of @naturalhairthreads on Instagram. I felt helpless on the issue of the abuse of Muslims in China. So I decided to use my platform to make this petition. This issue to my knowledge has been going on for approximately 3 years. That is to my knowledge it could have been longer. It breaks my heart. I am going to keep what is happening short and get straight to the issues in these camps.

  • Muslims are being forced to eat pork.
  • ‪They are forced to sing communist anthems, praise the president etc in classes. ‬
  • Instead of the children of these prisoners being allowed to live with relatives they are put into boarding schools.
  • They are forced to denounce their religion
  • Women, girls ( and men though I have not read reports stating this ) are being raped repeatedly
  • These victims are being forced to have abortions
  • Gang rapes by officers are being displayed. One woman who worked in the camps  as one of those teachers ( who has now fled to Sweden ). Reported 200 people being forced to watch the gang rape of a young girl. Anyone who showed emotion, closed their eyes, turned their head etc. Were taken away and never seen again.
  • They are constantly beaten and the taking of finger nails is a form of torture I’ve read was used the most other than rape.
  • There are also medical experiments being done on these people.
  • The workers in the camps who show any kindness have been beaten or starved.
  • There is basically no hygiene standards.
  • There is 60 people to a cell at times

Type the issue into google and look at the news on it. We have to show we care to help these people. I don’t want to explain to my kids why we did nothing. This will be in the history books.
