English Language Exams for Immigration (like IELTS) SHOULD NOT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE!

Why should someone score an 8 in an IELTS examination and the person is told to retake the exam just because an arbitrary expiration date on their ability to speak English Language has been set. This is so unfair to the non-native English language speakers. At what point does your ability to speak or write English language deteriorate enough to be thought of as needing a new examination to confirm it? This is an unfair treatment and just a money-making machine for the beneficiaries.

It is fine if an individual feels they can do better in the examination and chooses to retake the exams in hopes for a higher score, but to expire an excellent result is callous and unjust. It is high time to put an end to this unfair practice. IELTS is an examination that successful student retake for just the singular reason of expiration date. Would you retake an examination you passed if there isn't a good reason to do so? I think the 24 months expiration set on IELTS examinations is not a good reason to be forced to retake an examination on was successful at. I believe IELTS SHOULD NOT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE ON IT!!!! Stop disenfranchising people of the opportunities you claim to be helping to open them up to. Stop the mental stress and pressures you put already successful candidates through under the guise of expired excellent result. If this was fair, then all education should have an expiration date.

It is time to stop the milking and unfair treatment of non-native English language speaking people in developing countries. An excellent result is an excellent result. PERIOD!!! You definitely won’t put this burden on yourselves, but it is fine if it's on others who are only trying to get a better deal in this game called life. STOP 24 MONTHS VALIDITY ON IELTS!!!!
