The Palmerston North Boys' High School haircut rule is outdated

Palmerston North Boys' Highschool is a very well known and prestigious school in the Manawatu. The school provides an outstanding education and brilliant opportunities to us boys and is overall a once in a lifetime schooling experience to be apart of, especially when the boys have such a strong brotherhood that makes us feel like true brothers. However, there is a well known haircut rule that plagues the minds of our Palmy Boys', festers in our souls and ultimately negatively affects us as people.
The general haircut rules at school are as follows...
"Neither long nor too short, and must be cut to the satisfaction of the Rector or Deputy Rector. Dyed hair is not acceptable at this school. Sideboards must not extend beyond the ear lobe. Hair products such as wax and gel are not permitted."
In today's day and age where society is changing, human rights are being properly exercised, and acceptance of all different kinds of people are starting to become quite creative, this rule does not fit in with the new trend of change that is becoming apparent in our generation. Our hair is our own and helps us sculpt our identity to how we want others to see us. Therefore the rule that we must keep our hair a certain way throughout the entire school year violates the human right to independence. For all of our boys at school to feel ashamed of their haircuts that are forced upon us, this is unacceptable.
I call upon all Palmerston North Boys' High School Students to sign this petition and make the haircuts that render us clapped go away, sign this petition to help ELIMINATE the Palmerston North Boys' High School haircut rule once and for all!
