Restore the Bournville 400 metre running track

Restore the Bournville 400 metre running track
It is hard to believe but here in Bournville we have our very own properly constructed 400 metre running track. It is located at Rowheath and lies behind the rugby pitches.
Unfortunately, it is in a very bad state, having been neglected for the last 30 years, and is no longer safe to run on.
However, think how fantastic it would be to have it fully restored and free to use. It could be used by everyone, old and young alike. Seasoned runners or people new to running. It could be used by people who are wary of running on our streets and poorly maintained pavements. It could be used by local schools to help keep our children fit.
There are many organisations out there able to offer advice and to assist with funding. We just need to organise it. First point of call; The Bournville Village Trust, the landowner.
