WE RISK BEING IGNORED 

Unless we act to get it changed the  2023 Boundary Commission Review will move  the three Ashford Borough wards of Downs West, Charing and Downs North OUT of Ashford and INTO the new FAVERSHAM and MID KENT Parliamentary Constituency.

We have NO connection with Faversham so do we want  their MP (however good) to represent us?  We would be less than 10% of their  electorate, located 15 odd miles to the south in another Local Authority area!   But if you think that is OK ignore this plea!

BUT IF YOU THINK IT IS WRONG  - READ ON 

By including CHARING and DOWNS WEST wards into the new Weald of Kent constituency and DOWNS NORTH into the new Ashford constituency we:

• Fully meet the BCE criteria for new constituencies
• Will only need two, not three, MPs to represent us ALL
• Have MPs who know our communities and their issues 
• Need no adjustments to neighbouring constituency boundaries
• Keep our Ashford identity 
• Let the Faversham MP concentrate on their issues 

IF YOU AGREE VOTE to:

Move three wards from the Faversham & Mid Kent constituency into the Ashford and Weald of Kent constituencies:

•     Charing ward (2,169 voters) to Weald of Kent
     
•     Downs West ward (2,331) voters  to Weald of Kent
     
•     Downs North ward (2,048 voters to Ashford
