In my opinion school uniform is very important, not only do we have to wear it everyday it is also the representation of the school and I strongly believe that it is very important that we keep our school uniforms looking mature and flattering and there is some changes I would give to the current uniform at The Boswells School to give it a more sophisticated look. Firstly I would like to start with school shoes, I personally think its very important on what school shoes you choose as most people use that same pare of shoes for the whole school year, I think the best school shoes to wear would be trainers even though sadly trainers are against the school’s uniform policy at The Boswells School but heres a few reasons on why i think trainers should be allowed to be worn as school shoes; The normal school shoes we are told to wear are usually quite uncomfortable, fall off and easily ruined after a few weeks off wearing them everyday for school and are very uncomfortable but however with wearing simple black trainers to school they give you the nice comfort you need, they are easy to walk around in and they dont fall off and in my opinion they give more of a mature and appealing look. Another thing I would like to change about the School uniform is the girls skirts, we currently have kilt style skirt which in my opinion is quite unattractive, they are also very thick which acts like a blanket in the summer and they aren’t very comfortable either, i’d also like to add that they are very expensive and not everyone can afford to buy them, that’s why I think we should switch to having short black pencil skirts included in our uniform, they are thin and well prevent us from being hot and sweating up in the summer, they give a very smart and stylish look and you can also buy cheap pencil skirts at stores for lower income families to afford. As for the boys in the summer they must over heat having to wear trousers every day that’s why i think we should upgrade to having the option of boys wearing shorts in summer to put a stop to heating up and sweating.
