Christie Schaefer started this petition to The Booker Prize Foundation and

According to the rules for the 2019 Booker Prize, "The Literary Director, in consultation with the chair of the judges, may reject any revised proof
or finished copy that differs substantially or materially from a first submitted proof, and the work concerned will not be further considered"  (2., a., v of the 2019 International Booker Prize for Fiction Rules and Entry Form)

Indeed, the book has been changed, according to a September 4, 2019 article in the New York Times, wherein we read: "[Afua] Hirsch said that she had considered shredding her copy after the judging was complete, but came to realize that doing so would be a mistake. She said she had heard that Atwood changed the book after the judges received it, so those copies would be “very valuable.”"

Given that Atwood's book was subject to extreme secrecy, with the judges each receiving personally-identifying watermarked proofs for consideration, and the general book selling public having received no advance copies at all, (which is not the case with many of the other books considered for the prize) it is impossible for the readership at large to know if changes made to the book between proof and publication "substantially or materially" alter the novel.

Therefore, we the undersigned petition the Booker judges to strike "The Testaments" from consideration for this year's prize.
