Do not accept the donation of a new private road, Killarney Lane, at 220 Hempstead Ave
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
The developer who purchased the historic 19th century historic home at 220 Hempstead Ave, formally the St. Marks rectory, has plans to demolish the home and subdivide the property to build 6 houses.
Village code requires all newly constructed homes to have frontage on public roads. Based on the layout of this property, a new road would have to be constructed in order to build. We would like the trustees to reject the donation of this road to the village. Construction of 6 new homes on this property is out of scale with the surrounding neighborhood, impacts local property values, crowds our public schools, removes mature oak trees, demolishes a historic home and changes the overall character of RVC.
Please show your support and let the village board of trustees know that approving this is not in the best interest of the village.
