Ban A-1 Liqours from the Village of Marlborough

A-1 Liquors is attempting to purchase and occupy 7899 Watson Road and Lease out 7895 Watson Road. This type of business is not beneficial to our community. As the owner of a local Real Estate Brokerage, I know firsthand the damage this type of business will cause to property values, crime rates, and undesirable clientele. The urban decay is not what we need in a community that is struggling to rebuild itself. Please see below for a list of links showing how liquor stores damage neighborhoods. Please contact me at 314-226-6420 or Joey@DiFrancoRealty.com with any questions.

Be sure to check out their facebook check in page too! https://www.facebook.com/pages/A1-Liquor/146476225381894

This is the first page that appears when you search A-1 liquors on google.

Let me clear something up here so I can be completely transparent. I have a vested interest in this building. I have a bid in to buy it and develop it myself. I would like to scout businesses that would draw people into our community and help it grow. I would like to see a Supplement Superstore, a smoothie king, a general contractor that can benefit from office and warehouse space, and turn the old dive Danno's into a Family Friendly Restaurant along the lines of a Joey-Bs. Regardless of my interest in this building financially, I am still the next door neighbor here on Watson and in no way, shape, or form believe that a packaged liquor store will improve the community, the local economy, or drive in new businesses.

Below are a list of links to demostrate the effect of liquor stores on communities.
