My husband taught in the Philly school system for 18 years. The problems haven't changed in all that time. All our students need good schools, equipment, supplies, teachers, nurses, counselors and other personnel. All children deserve the same access to a good education.

This leadership is trying to force us and our students to go back into an unsafe environment. Philly schools can’t handle asbestos, how are they going to be able to handle covid19?

My family was subjected to years of retaliation for advocating for my disabled child. He celebrated the perpetrators. The retaliation continues today. His policies, professional culture and litigious strategies are directly to blame for our pain.

Our children are not being educated. Big difference from the days of Constance Clayton.

I went to elementary, middle, and high school in Philadelphia. Trust me when I say that our teachers are underpaid and undervalued. Education is a right but somehow compensating educators properly for all they do is unheard of in the SDP. Very sad.

The asbestos situation in the schools is criminal. Students deserve accountability and a safe space to learn!
