Rev Sid has been our reverend for the past 4 years, he joined our community in 2014 when his training started. From day one Sid’s energy and efforts were relentless reaching out to all ages and areas of our community. Sadly, partly through his training the then priest Donald left his role through ill health however, Sid rose to the challenge and his commitment to the community has grown ever since. He is now a pivotal pillar in our community who has re-open the door to Christianity within our community. Rev Sid and his family continues to be a vital part of the community – Sid’s electric personality makes the church “cool” for our youngsters, and his kind, caring approach is a support to our senior members.
In addition to his church duties he also finds the time to be the St Botolph School Chaplin, the POSH Academy Chaplin, makes frequent visits to Longueville Court care home plus many more community events, his wife runs the local tots refresh group and his children attend the local schools – they are a major part of our community BUT not for much longer, the church has decided he is no longer allowed to continue in his current post for no apparent reason - this does not reflect the opinion of the community. It’s an absolute travesty that someone who has engaged the church and the people so much, is being forced to move away.
We do not want to see him go! Please help us save our Rev Sid!
