BART workers contracts expire on August 4th. As engaged citizens who support the rights of working men and women, we need to stand behind the workers as they call for safer conditions for all.  These workers are a vital part of the BART family. Their work is integral to getting us where we need to go safely and on time.  For more information, visit www.KeepBARTRunning.com.

Letter to
BART Board of Directors
As BART riders, Bay Area residents, and engaged citizens, we are concerned over the state of negotiations between the District and SEIU Local 1021 and ATU Local 1555 members and the dangerous working conditions they must work under to help keep BART running.

We are also concerned about your high paid negotiator, Thomas Hock, his history of inciting strikes, and his previous conflict of interest violations. He has been on vacation while you should have been negotiating a new contract.

We ask you to respect the workers who keep BART running and make BART a safer place for workers and riders. We are asking you to:
- Fire your vacationing negotiator
- Implement worker/rider safety measures
- Bargain a fair contract for frontline workers

Get back to making the system work, because the Bay Area relies on it – and you.
