I want to stop customers, being misled and ripped off by their superannuation funds, through fees and dodgy insurance policies. I want better disclosure from providers. Better training for people in the industry. Better oversight from the government. I want to see public disclosure of data. The number of complaints each year. The number of complaints being resolved. I'd like the providers to be publicly listed and their performance measured. I don't want people buying products because they have been misled by salespeople. I want the customer to be the primary focus of the business. I want the government authority to also be measured by its performance. I have had a bad experience with this industry. I fear that I am only one of the thousands who have been diddled by predatory behaviour. There are real similarities between this industry and our banks who have been partially exposed for similar sorts of behaviour during the banking royal commission. Including the unsavoury relationships that developed between APRA, ASIC and the banks, they were supposed to be policing.
