End the Australian Refugee Crisis

More and more refugees are being turned back at sea every year. This act is supported by The National Coalition and Centre-Left Labor but it is rejected by the minor party called The Australian Greens. Asylum Seekers are also being interrogated and then jailed as soon as they return to Sri Lanka or Indonesia. Australia is also focusing on deterring Asylum Seekers, which is limiting the promotion of Human Rights in Australia. But Tony Abbott, the ex-Prime Minister of Australia, publicly dismissed the fact that Australia has violated the human rights of refugees to be free from torture or degrading treatment.

Did you know?

Around 2 200 refugees are being held in Papa New Guinea and a small island in the Pacific island nation called Nauru, which has been controlled under Australia's offshore detention. In April 2016, Papua New Guinea stated that the detention center in their country is illegal and they are looking to close it.

With your help, we can persuade the Australian Government and the Refugee Council to either accept all or more refugees in Australia. I want to accept all or more refugees in Australia because I want everyone to be treated equally.
