In the light of the most recent mass-shooting in the United States, legislative authority over Gun control in Australia must be located nationally, so that all overarching policies, processes, and regulations, are authorised by the Federal Government. This requirement is essential to bolster a national culture of gun control, where individual State Governments cannot produce their own gun control regulations, in contrast to a national approach to this important issue.  If all States & Territories do not agree with this request, the Federal Government should initiate a Referendum as soon as possible or at the next federal election.

Letter to
The Attorney-General The Hon. Nicola Roxon MP
To hold a special meeting with all State Police Ministers in order to seek the transfer of powers from all States & Territories regarding gun control. Failing the transfer of powers, the Federal Government should initiate a referendum asking the electorate to authorise the Federal Government to have all legislative authority on gun control as soon as possible or at the next election. Sincerely and respectfully yours, John Candido.
