The APS should withdraw its support from the AAP-led letter to the White House

Recent news

The APS has updated its position.

On January 24th, 2020, the APS Board of Directors issued a statement ( acknowledging the problems with the December 18 letter to the White House that APS signed in the name of its members. APS explained its reasoning for the decision and clarified that it does not support the nationalistic tone of the letter nor its antagonism towards open access and public mandates. We appreciate the APS Board's change of position on this issue, and consider the major goals of our petition to have been achieved. We appreciate the support of everyone who signed the petition and/or took other actions to help convey the severity of our concerns to the APS.
