Cheryl Christie started this petition to the Alberta government

Calling on all Canadians to join me in demanding that the Alberta Government  commits to protecting our wild horses by creating legislation under which our wild horses will be permanently protected and granted the freedom to roam our public Lands. This is their inalienable right.

The Alberta Government's April 2019 count of these majestic native animals totalled 1,679 down from 1,721 counted in 2018.

The current Memorandum of Understanding for the Sundre area (which safeguarded the horses in that area for a fixed term), will expire in November at which time culling of these beautiful creatures will begin again. This unconscionable licencing process by the Alberta Government allows licencees to trap and slaughter the horses.

Please pledge your support by signing this petition.
