THE IDEA:

Have a short contest for children in The Saint Jude Hospital, winners would be selected randomly so as no children would feel put down they weren't 'chosen'. Every child that wants to 'compete' has to submit a drawing. There could be a theme like 'best day ever', 'if I made a movie', 'superhero pet sidekicks' or they could keep it open-ended to let their imagination run wild.

Once the winners are chosen their beautiful artwork would be framed, and a short video would be filmed of how/why they made the A-MA-ZING piece of art. The pieces would be shown at the beginning of the Oscars by the presenters of each category (in place of opening monologue), and those attending would get the one in a lifetime opportunity to bid on them. *ALL PROCEEDS GO TO ST. JUDES* Bidding would close half way through the Oscars, and winners of the art would be called up before we cut to commercial before Best Picture. So it'd be one of the last events of the night, but wouldn't take away from the winners of best picture.

There could also be a live stream from where the children are when they hear how much their drawing went for, and who won it.

*Also if designers wanted to contribute they could make outfits for the children, so when they go to them live it's like they're winning an Award themselves.*

WHY:

The Oscars this year, as of right now, don't have a host. This is a way of filling that problem, and bring a heck ton of wholesome into 2019. It fills the need of having a host, brings attention to a great charity, and brings happiness to a bunch of children. Children who fight harder than anyone, and deserve a chance to shine on a national stage. Families get to trade their everyday stress and worry, for a night of glory. It provides a well deserved win, for a community we know doesn't get those enough. Plain and simple, it's a nice thing to do. Please sign this petition.
