Mr Beirne has been a phenomenal teacher, Vice Principal and Headmaster of Victoria College, JCG and Beaulieu for almost 30 years. His commitment and service to education and to the young people of Jersey has been outstanding. For him to step aside in this way is a tragedy and a great loss to education in Jersey. This should never have happened but rather he should be honoured for his commitment, work and support he has given so many of us past students in our educational formation. This petition is to publicly offer our thanks to him.
