better play equipment for the children of the Wimpey estate.

The current state of the play equipment and surrounding area is not acceptable. Rotten and damaged equipment, sexually explicit graffiti, broken glass, drug paraphernalia, lack of accessibility and no fence/gate to protect against dogs.
In a world of childhood obesity and ipads, why has this valuable asset been allowed to deteriorate to the point where it’s almost unusable? It appears to be rarely checked or maintained and it is at least 30 years old.
What we would like to see is fresh, modern equipment and something that can be used by disabled children. CCTV would not go amiss either. It would be lovely if we could make it a hidden gem, that all families could discover, as they pass through.
