Diversify social studies/ history books in Texas schools

Our children need to learn an accurate and inclusive history of Texas and the United States of America. The history of this country had contributing members from many ethnicities, races, origins, and class. The social studies/history books today mainly include the actions and events of white-bodied people. The events of history and people included in them, such as indigenous people and people of color, should be represented and accurately portrayed to students.
The Texas State Board of Education needs to address this sooner than later. We are a diverse state that needs to educate our children as so. This petition is to let the TSBOE know that as citizens, educators, and parents we are invested in the content and context of our children's education. This change is what we want, and we want it now, not later.
Please sign this petition to demand a reevaluation and editing of current state and national social studies/ history textbooks to be more diverse, accurate, and inclusive.
