FREE PAMELA PERILLO

The Issue

We seek a petition to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the parole in 2019 for Pamela Perillo. At age 24 and high on drugs, Pamela, with two others committed a double homicide in Houston, Texas. A week later she confessed, was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death by lethal injection. She came within two days of the state’s revenge and the first woman to be executed in Texas since the Civil War. But because of a court appointed attorney’s conflict of interest, she was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole after 30 years.

As of this year, she will have been incarcerated for 38 years. From her first few days in prison, she became a Christian and has repeatedly expressed her remorse and begged forgiveness. She has helped many inmates find peace with God. She has trained over 25 service dogs for   Patriot Paws. (1)

In her book (2) she details her sorrow for her crime and the painful executions and loss of her fellow Death Row inmates: Karla Fay Tucker, Betty Lou Beets, and Frances Elaine Newton. She has a family and an adopted mother (2) who needs her help now because of a stroke. Please sign this petition to let her enjoy her latter years in freedom.

1. Patriot Paws is a non-profit organization that provides service dogs without cost to disabled American veterans and others with mobile disabilities and PTS symptoms.
2. Salvation on Death Row, The Pamela Perillo Story, KiCam Projects, 2017, available online. All author proceeds from her book go to Patriot Paws.
