Seth (A Concerned Texas A&M Student) started this petition to Texas A&M University

On March 2nd, Governor Abbott announced a new executive order effective March 10 that will allow any business to open at 100% capacity if they choose to. Saying that statewide mandates are “no longer necessary,” he also announced the end of the mandatory mask mandate effective March 10.

Texas A&M sent out an email saying “Current rules and protocols at Texas A&M University regarding face coverings will remain in place until March 10, before which date the university will issue further guidance related to Executive Order GA-34 announced today by Gov. Greg Abbott.”

As students it is our responsibility to voice our opinion to Texas A&M! The mask mandate across the United States, Texas, and campus has gone on long enough. Let us finally get over these times by lifting the mask mandate and making A&M 100% open again!

I want to clarify that by signing this petition you are not against people that want to wear face coverings willing around campus. Those that wish to continue wearing face mask to work or class have the right to continue wearing it. By signing this petition you are stating your voice that you want Texas A&M to lift the mandated face policy so that if you wish not to wear a face covering you no longer are forced to put one on anymore!
