Bar Hill Tesco was meant to undertake a store upgrade this summer, with residents promised upgrades. Other than a new electronic bus timetable, the store and its grounds have not been updated. 

Tesco have widely publicised its green credentials including the 3R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), but Bar Hill residents feel let down by Tesco.

We ask for the following upgrades on site:

1. A new bus shelter - Travelling by bus is by far the greenest method of travel, but residents and visitors are deterred by the lack of shelter. The current bus stop has no roof and broken panels. The bus stop is also missing the 1A and 8 timetables.

2. Replacement bins that are pest resistant and new recycle bins, including bins on the land owned by Tesco, next to the village square.

3. Electic Car Charge Stations - Tesco state that they have the most Electric Car Charge stations of any UK supermarket, but Bar Hill currently has none.

4. Better management of Tesco's green spaces and a committment to either clear up rubbish regularly in the village or help with funding the Parish Council to do so.

5. Refill stations to reduce plastic waste.

6. Toothpaste and cosmetic recycling points.
