Fruit and Vegetable aisles are filled with plastic. An effort to ban plastic bags has been made at the checkout, but it continues in the shopping aisles.

Almost all of this plastic is not recyclable and ends up at landfill where it takes hundreds of years to break down. With the increasing population and more demand for produce, this situation is only going to get worse. 

I'm calling on supermarkets and UK Government to make a change to this. Our fresh produce does not need to be wrapped. Our planet deserves better than for us to thoughtlessly discard this waste, we owe it to our ecosystems and future generations yet to come to start making a change.
