Why this petition matters

Can we all agree this panic buying is not only shocking and totally uncalled for where people are buying for Armageddon & not a pandemic quarantine of two weeks.

I’m hearing and reading constantly and seeing posts online via various social media sites now of how people with new born babies are struggling for formula and posts of people bulk buying it. I think it’s disgusting how supermarkets have let this happen and allowed people to buy up formula, by the crate load without question. Who really needs 15 SMA and 30 Aptimil cartons?? It’s been seen locally and nationally and online where formula is being sold at extortionate prices, it’s clear and easy to say that some of societies vultures have seen an opportunity to feed their banks on peoples anxiety and struggles, so I’d ask the government to bring in a legislation where anyone purchasing formula in supermarkets and mini marts should only be allowed if proof of maternity or motherhood via the redbook given to all new and expectant mothers is shown along with photographic ID such as passport or birth certificate and utility bill to stop the leeches and make sure the people whom need it in this crisis get it!! Thank you
