This is important because they are ruining the environment by dumping their bacteria filled waste close to beaches where people are swimming and fishing. This makes the area smell really bad and endangers beachgoers by attracting sharks and exposing them to filth that most of them have no idea they are being exposed to. This is after they come in, muscle fishing boats out of the way and net hundreds of thousands of pounds of fish called menhaden, and the game fish that are feeding on them. Virginia Beach spends millions of dollars attracting tourists to the beach and it is a big part of their local economy, and the charter captains are just trying to make an honest living. But when Omega Protein comes in from 75 miles away and nets a mile long path of fish that clean up our water and feed our game fish along with the game fish that get caught in their nets, dump their wastewater out less than a mile from the beach, and then go back home to Reedville, it shows they have zero respect for the citizens of Virginia Beach, their tourists, the environment, and the local economy. Mr. Governor, we are asking that you please get involved and stop these bullies from endangering citizens and tourists, and make them be respectful of the city, its citizens, and our oceans. The problems that will come if they keep doing what they are doing cost way more to fix and take way more time to repair that what it takes to break what they are breaking. Won't you help please?
