Conditional Pardon for Corey Parks
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
I'm writing on behalf of my fiancé Corey Parks. In 1996 Corey was charged, convicted and sentenced to 32 years in prison for armed robbery in 1996. When Corey was sentenced he was 19 , he is now 40 and he has grown as a man, and a person. I feel that he will make a positive impact on those he encounters upon his release, if granted.
Corey knows that his actions were wrong and he has changed and grown as a man. During his incarceration Corey has completed and received a certificates for a number of things that include his GED food handlers, horticulture and he is currently taking a class now. Corey spends his time working, going to class, working out and giving the younger inmates positive advice on how to handle their current situation with a positive outlook.
If his pardon is approved, once released from prison Corey will work a full time job and enroll in an ex offenders program that will assist him in getting a trade or trades. He is very eager to learn and I'm sure that he will prosper in anything that he decides to do. Corey's support system is very strong and it includes myself, his son, his mother, his siblings, numerous family members and a few good friends who have encouraged and prayed for him during these past 20 years
We are asking for a Conditional with hopes that Corey will be released and have a second chance at life. Everyone deserves a second chance and after 20 years I think that this is his chance.
Thank you for taking time to read my petition.
