Calling on Charlottesville, VA to rename Emancipation Park "Heather Heyer Memorial Park"

This petition had 89 supporters

Our mission is simple: To honor Heather Heyer and to forever continue her message of love and acceptance in not only Charlottesville, but Virginia, America, and the world.

In renaming Emancipation Park in her memory, we are taking a stance against those who tried to suppress us, divide us, and take away the very values that make us American. Heather gave her life in support of this cause. Her memory should live on to inspire us all. Her life was not in vein!

"If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention."

Heather, we thank you!

Please join us in signing this petition to make the very most out of this tragedy.

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of their skin, or their background, or their religion. People must learn to hate. And if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the heart than it’s opposite.” - Nelson Mandela
