FTTC Broadband for remaining WA suburbs

Since the NBN was first announced, it has gone through many forms. From the initial idea of fibre to every home, to its current mixed technology incarnation.
Although the ideal product for all Australians would be direct fibre, it is clear that this will never be offered to existing homes, due to the implied cost of the technology.
I am proposing that any remaining areas that are not yet connected to the NBN, be upgraded to the newer FTTC technology.
FTTC, Sees the optical fibre cable be terminated in the pit at the end of each driveway. This means less existing copper cable for the signal to degrade along. It also means it will be easier and cheaper to upgrade to FTTP (Direct fibre) in the future.
This petition is pushing for these upgrades in the Huntingdale, Gosnells, Canning Vale and Southern River areas, which are yet to be installed, and have also been bumped down the list for installation several times, over the last few years.
This petition will be sent to our newly elected local MP Terry Healy of the Labor party.
