During a search at Auburn Correctional facility my little brother Ronald was brutally attacked by the correctional officers. He was told that if he follow their instructions everything will be ok. During that time before putting handcuffs on him he was struck on the right side of his face by one of the officers. After getting hit in the face he was then attacked by multiple officers that was also in his cell. While Ronald was being attacked he proceeded to try and get on his knees to lay down on his stomach and put his hands behind his back with hopes that the officers would stop hitting on him. Finally after the officers was done beating on him they handcuffed him. after handcuffing him and while handcuffed another officer wrapped his arm around Ronald throat and began to call him racial names. My brother was sent to solitary confinement and left with bruises on his body, on his face, and chest pains due to the not being able to breath while being basically strangled. Correction officers have no right using that type of excessive force for a simple search of a cell. They use they power to do as they please and have it covered up making them feel almighty. But not any more we need this to stop how many more young men have to die before a change happens. We need to be the voices of those inside, we need to speak up for them about the harsh condition they are facing. no one should be beaten down for no reason and when something does happen there should be consequences for the CO involved in the incident.
