All people serving the white house should be limited to a term of office, just like the president, 8 years.  At age 70 they need to retire period, no more service.  They need to go on Medicare and social security just like the rest of the Americans. Should not be able to collect the same salary.  If this happened they would realize what a mess it is and how hardly anyone can survive on it. 

They should NOT be held to a higher standard than any other American.
