Start a toddler playgroup in Lower Township

What are some of the things your toddler likes to do in Lower Township? We are so fortunate to have so many places to visit and so many public events to attend. The beaches, the public swimming pool, ferry concerts, the playgrounds. The list is endless. But what about in the winter months? What is there to do? Where can we take our little ones to run off some of that energy?

The fact is that there aren't many choices in Lower Township at all. There certainly aren't any regularly scheduled free indoor activities that I've come across. As a stay-at-home mother, I look forward to daily outings with my toddler. I rely on them. It breaks up our day and allows her to express herself through play and social interactions with others, which is so important at this age.

I will be meeting with the mayor of Lower Township, Erik Simonsen, to discuss the idea of a free parent and toddler playgroup for children ages 1-4. The vision I have is for parents, caregivers, babysitters, grandparents and the like to have a regular scheduled indoor playgroup to bring their toddlers to during the week while older children are attending school. I would like to have toys and activities available for the children to use and participate in. Adults will need to stay with their toddler at all times to ensure their safety.

I am asking anyone who thinks that this would be a valuable program for the children of our community to please sign the petition and share it with your friends and family. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to send me a message.
