By not reporting the daily COVID cases in the state of TN, it places those who are conscious of their decisions, based on up-to-date data at risk by performing actions that they would not otherwise not do if they could see the daily case count instead of waiting for weekly updates.

The TDH representatives that declared such things as “It shouldn’t change a single thing that you do, so whether cases today are 2200 or 2900 it shouldn’t change your day-to-day actions at all,” apparently fail to recognize that we are no longer at that stage, when daily cases are over 10,000 cases per day.  

“It really is irrelevant if the number today is 3 or 400 higher than yesterday or or lower than yesterday, what we want to look at is trends over time, and weekly reporting allows us to look at trends over time,” is no longer a valid argument when the daily cases increase in thousands, rather than hundreds.

So please, return to daily reporting so those of us who have not decided to just give in or give up regarding COVID can make informed decisions.
