In a country like Canada and a thriving province like Ontario, we should not be treating those who are just trying to come here to help themselves have a better life with such disrespect. We would never treat our citizens like this. For us to keep our status as a welcoming nation, we need to start treating our visitors a lot better. 

The treatment of temporary foreign workers in Canada who and just trying to get work permits has been horrible. How is it that we treat those that are coming to Canada to not only work to help themselves but also our economy so poorly? Our government treats these workers as if because they are not permanent residents we shouldn’t still give them a fighting chance to obtain work in our country.

We are urging the Government of Canada, Prime Minister Trudeau, Minister Simon Fraser, the Employment and Social Development Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency and the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to change their policies and give permanent immigration status for all temporary foreign workers.

If our demands get acknowledged before the next provincial election, it will give all temporary foreign workers in Ontario and the rest of Canada a fighting chance to try and get a job here. It will also allow them to be able to manage their lives better in the ways they hoped when they first came to Canada.
