Due to the covid-19 virus in the past week albertans have been put into a local state of emergency. With that, work, schools, universities and child care programs have been shut down until further notice. Not withholding the recent closure of all recreation centres, arenas, library’s etc; also the cancellation of sports in Alberta and across the world. For most people school, sports, or a workout were activities to pass the time and with them being closed/cancelled people are home bound. We are being advised to socially isolate ourselves. This includes not going to work or school or out at all if unnecessary. This quarantine has put people out of work temporarily and really, gives one not a whole lot of activities to fill their day. In my experience my days have looked like walks, puzzles, reading, cooking, cleaning, and most of the time being spent watching tv or using the wireless network. This all just to keep sane in this hard time. This petition is to encourage cable and/or internet companies to provide free/cheaper services through this time.
