Save Our Parks!

Wrexham Council wants to slash the maintenance of all 11 Parks and Country Parks.
The team of six Rangers who care for all our Parks, seven days a week, will be cut to four or even three. What will this mean?
They will only be able to do the bare minimum, and even this will be concentrated on Ty Mawr and Alyn Waters. Other parks will end up getting scruffy and unloved; will they qualify for Green Flag awards in future?

Everything else that the Rangers do now will slow down or stop:
• Very few children’s events
• No more Junior Rangers, work with schools or volunteer programme
• How can they provide 7-day care for the animals at Ty Mawr? No doubt they’ll
have to go as well.
Other cuts:
• Bellevue Park will lose its Ranger and all events
• Nant Mill Visitor Centre will go from opening 7 days a week in Summer to opening
on no weekdays at all, just a few weekends.
• Permanent damage to well-used amenities
DO YOU THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA?
If not, please act now as we only have until November 30th to respond.
