Tell Whole Foods (SW Region) to stand-up to criticism of Ramadan product advertisement!
The Issue
Whole foods openly supports food and products necessary for celebrating Jewish holidays, stating they are specifically 'for passover' often in special displays during passover week. Don't forget general promotion of Christian based Christmas and Easter holidays as well...
However, they have recently caved to anti-Islamic requests that requested they stop 'promoting Ramadan'. This request was based on the ignorant view that the moon/star signs posted in-store, along with Halal product advertisements is promoting Islam and Ramadan for non-islamic followers.
Join us to tell Whole Foods that we encourage them to continue their practice of openly advertising products intended for religious practice, regardless of the religion. They must know that the people who raised the concern are only a minority and Whole Foods is supported by their customers to openly promote that they carry products requested by a greater majority.
Please note: you're encouraged to share which Whole Foods store/area you visit along with your religious preference (if any) so Whole Foods and others are aware people protesting religious discrimination are not only people being discriminated against and that this practice is abhored by many of their customers!
This petition is not being started by a Muslim follower but rather a Christian that does not believe in discrimination against other religions and their legal, peaceful religious holidays.
This company does not have a history of religious discimination, so tell them it's not acceptable before they expand their discriminatory policies!
