On February 21, 2011, WalMart will begin selling GeoGirl, makeup aimed at 8 to 12 year old girls, unless you demand they refuse to uphold their contract with Pacific World Corporation (the maker of the tween cosmetics). GeoGirl is being marketed as an eco-friendly product line that teaches girls to be environmentally responsible. But the branding is really a ploy to obscure the unnecessary and harmful consumption of beauty products by tweens and GeoGirl's exploitative sexualization of female children. Tell Walmart to refuse to sell GeoGirl on its shelves and in its online store.

On February 21, 2011, WalMart is slated begin selling GeoGirl, makeup aimed at 8 to 12 year old girls. GeoGirl is being marketed as an eco-friendly product line that teaches girls to be environmentally responsible in their purchasing choices, but the branding is really a ploy to obscure the unnecessary and harmful consumption of beauty products by tweens and GeoGirl's exploitative sexualization of female children. The product is not in step with Walmart's ethical guidelines as a family-oriented company and tarnishes your reputation as such. I am writing to demand Walmart refuse to sell GeoGirl on its shelves and in its online store.
