Tell United Airlines: Stop Your Violent and Discriminatory Actions Against Customers

On Sunday evening April 9th, a paying customer who had already boarded and was sitting in his purchased seat was violently attacked, bloodied, and dragged off the flight by United Airlines employees after declining to "volunteer his seat" in face of airline practice of "overbooking" the flight. The 69 year old man, who was traveling with his wife, was "randomly selected" and brutally and physically forced to "volunteer" his seat for airline personnel, despite providing cogent explanation and reasoning for his needing to be on his rightfully purchased flight home (i.e., needing to see patients the next morning).
This joins repeated reports of unjust, dehumanizing, and abusive racial, ethnic, developmental, and gender discriminatory actions by United Airlines flight operating teams towards girls and women, Muslim American parents and children, a child with autism, and yesterday, an Asian American elder, all within the past 2 years.
We demand that United Airlines critically account for and radically change these extremely harmful patterns of discrimination and physical force.
