Over the last year, the time it takes to get from downtown Boston to Forest Hills on the MBTA Orange has gone up by more than a third due to the imposition of several slow zones where the subway crawls for no announced reason. While the MBTA has admitted the existence of these "speed restriction areas," they have so far refused to acknowledge the severity of the problem or committed to a timetable to fixing it and giving the riding public the service they need and deserve. If you're a regular Orange Line user, please lend your voice to the demand that the T commit, right now, to fix all of the Orange Line's slow zones by not later than April 30. Thanks!
