Tell the Norwegian Government: Support the Fur Farming Ban

Recently, the Norwegian Labour Party voted to shut down the fur farming industry in the country. Norway's prime minister belongs to the Labour party, but there is expected opposition to the ban from other political parties in the county.

Currently, Norway contains over 300 mink and fox farms. In 2009, Network for Animal Freedom, a Norwegian animal rights organization, shot footage of these fur farms. They found the animals living in deplorable conditions: animals living in filth, animals with open wounds left untreated, sometimes missing eyes or entire limbs.

That same year, the Norwegian government gave the fur industry over 40 million kroner. This money could surely be better spent.

I recently read on Change.org that the Norwegian Labour Party voted to shut down the fur farming industry in the country. I am writing to urge all of Norway's political parties to support this fur farming ban.

Please support the Norwegian Labour Party's proposed ban of the fur farming industry.

Thank you.
