I was just planning a redo of my bedroom and thought of how I could get all the things I need from Target. My plans will change, I will not shop at Target until they sign on to stop child labor and get clean gold!

Please 'target' the gold industry and deplore its use of child and slave labour and refuse the selling of jewelry and ther trinkets produced in this manner.

Please make the change! It only makes sense!! Why would you want to be a part of something that hurts, and even kills, people!?!

Target is my favorite store. I know they want to do business right, so I encourage them to take a look at this.

Target, you're already on your knees, about to be finished off by Wal-Mart. Do you REALLY need any more bad publicity? You could be the all-purpose retailer that actually sympathizes with its human capital. You could be the "hero" battling the all-powerful "evil" faceless corporate giant. In my opinion, that's the only way you'll survive. Do the right thing. Consistently. And with an air of desperation. You need the help.

We need to care about modern day slavery. We don't want our children to be slaves, and we shouldn't be a part of contributing to other children being slaves. Stop supporting the exploitation of children in the gold industry.

Your hesitation to commit to the Golden Rules, coupled with your previous foot-dragging relating to the deaths of workers in Bangladesh (re: payments to families of workers who died, and safety rules and inspections) tells me that Target is a company that does not care about workers or human rights. As a consumer, I will spend my money elsewhere if I cannot see a commitment to these important principles.

Dear Target Execs,
I am a consumer who frequents your store. I will not be able to continue to do so should you choose to continue to sell "dirty" gold. I hope you will consider the implications of your decision. I hope you will consider what it would be like if your family happened to be born into different circumstances, and one of these was your own?
